It is recommended that
the District 7 Control
Points (Southbridge 25)
and (Northbridge 41) use the
following radio protocol for
hailing District 7 Strike
Teams.
Upon receipt from a
community for a District 7
Strike Team, the Control
Point Dispatcher will:
1. First, open all
Southern Worcester County
Band Radios by depressing
the
keypad firmly and slowly,
7***.
2. Make an
announcement regarding the
Strike Team request. Both
the
requested Strike Team Area and Group Type shall be
announced.
Example: The District 7
West 2 Strike Team, Brush
Group, is requested to
respond to the town of Charlton for a brush
fire.
The Staging area is: ______________.
Repeat
the entire message
3. The Control Point
Dispatcher shall
conduct a roll call of
those communities
for the requested Strike Team. The Control Point
Dispatcher shall call those
communities, using the listed PSAP numbers, who do
not respond and
acknowledge the roll call message. The Control Point
Dispatcher shall also
tell the appropriate community to notify the Strike
Team Commander and
Alternate Commander. In the event that neither the
Strike Team Commanders
are available, the Control Point Dispatcher shall
notify the responding
apparatus on the Strike Team, and the requesting
community, that a
Commander is not available.
4. When all
communities have
acknowledged the Strike Team
request, the
Control
Point Dispatcher shall
notify the requesting
community (by the
same means that the request was made) that the Strike
Team is responding.
